Abbey Klaassen has a very interesting look at video analytics and optimization in a piece on YouTube Insights (and was nice enough to quote me). She also mentions Visible Measures a company I’ve mentioned in the past to closely watch in this space.
Video (Flash) optimization is at the same time the largest threat to Madison Avenue’s “brand” advertisers and its greatest opportunity. Yet, they sit idly by as Google launches a video analytics and optimization product in YouTube, the world’s greatest video sandbox.
And to think; all that UGC that Mad Ave despises — those “kids” are optimizing their video content… and you’re not. Talk about performance branding!
